"In Avalon Hill’s "Up Front," the Elite soldiers are called "SS Troops." More accurately, SS troops were of average effectiveness, but with different fighting qualities. Integrating these qualities into Up Front makes for a fascinating study of the problems faced by their opponents. Combat is much more intense and deadly. In this variant you will find a new set of character cards for SS troops, a few extra counters, some playing aids, and a set of rules to incorporate the new troops into your Up Front game."
Don't buy this if you don't have strong nerves. On offense, they just keep coming & coming & coming . . . On defense, you have to dig them out with a pickax. These troops just don't know when to quit. But, victory can be obtained. They are only human.
